SingStar is a competitive karaoke video game series for PlayStation 2/PlayStation 3.

Basically, what you have to do is to sing a song. The lyrics come up on the screen and you follow the colour code according to your mic colour.

Usually, it is played by 2 people but you can play on your own or with a group of people if you want. If you choose the multiplayer mode, up to 8 players can play at the same time.

The PlayStation 3 version of SingStar introduced some online features accessed through the PlayStation Network:
-Users are able to purchase songs online from the SingStore.
-The game records photos and videos of players singing with the PlayStation Eye (an USB camera for Playstation), which can be saved to the PlayStation's HD or uploaded to the My SingStar Online network. Then,users can rate each others performances and leave comments on other people's profiles.
